Tough to choose, but what’s your favourite Drew Struzan poster?
Thanks for sharing these! What a flashback. Indeed, hard to choose a favorite, mostly because it's difficult to separate the art from the film. If forced to choose, I'd say The Thing. I love that it is an abstraction of the movie. The prism-like imagery doesn't literally show what happens in this movie, but it suggests it, and it certainly illustrates the chilling setting (and atmosphere) for the film. Masterful!
Really great post and of course it's always wonderful to see all those amazing posters we grew up with. Thanks Marshall for refreshing our memory as to how many iconic film posters Drew has created. We should also sight all the film still photographers that supplied so much of the reference for these posters as they are usually unsung heroes and without their contributions we would not have the many images that thrust us all back to our younger years when they made classic film posters for movies
